PINEVILLE, La. - The Louisiana College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Ozarks in the American Southwest Conference opener for both teams Thursday night.
The Wildcats (1-3, 0-1 ASC) played the Eagles to a 0-0 tie in the irst half but surrendered goals in the 46th, 53rd and 64th minutes of the contest.
Keeper
Rodrigo Medina made five saves in the contest, one in which Ozarks got off 11 shots, five on goal.
LC got off eight shots but just two shots, one from
Raffi Ferreira and one from
Dean Floyd, were on goal.
Ozarks was led by two goals by Tony Santoro, one of which was a penalty kick in the 64th minute.
The Wildcats will have precious little time to lick their wounds. The LC men return to action on Friday at 7 p.m. with another conference home match, this time against Texas Dallas.
