Box Score
SEGUIN, Texas – Louisiana College, ranked No. 21 in NCAA Division III, scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to turn what had been a 16-16 game into a 37-16 American Southwest Conference road victory over Texas Lutheran Saturday afternoon.

Louisiana College (7-1, 5-1 ASC) owed a debt of gratitude, however, to a play made in the third quarter.

With  the game tied at 16 and Texas Lutheran (4-4, 3-3 ASC) driving late in the third, sophomore cornerback Corey Warmington (Vacherie, La./St. James HS) intercepted a Mitchell Bunger pass at the TLU 45.

A few plays and a change of field later, the Wildcats were able to take the lead for good when Jamie Bunting (Alexandria, La./Alexandria Senior HS) connected with Dayne Reeves (Longville, La./South Beauregard HS) on a 10-yad completion.
By the end of the fourth, Bunting had connected with running back Ryan Montague (New Orleans, La./St. Augustine HS) on a 13-yard touchdown pass, Montague had scored on a 14-yard run and LC had set up a showdown for second place in the American Southwest Conference with red-hot McMurry (6-2, 5-1 ASC), which defeated rival Hardin-Simmons 24-14, Saturday at 2 p.m. in Wildcat Stadium.

Bunting finished with 275 yards and four touchdowns on 34-of-55 passing. He completed passes to seven receivers.
Reeves, Darnell Williams (Gulfport, Miss./Winter Park HS) and D'Mario Parker (Shreveport, La./Huntington HS) finished with seven receptions and one touchdown apiece.

On the ground, Montague accounted for 113 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries and Daron Bartholomew (Edgard, La./Arkansas-Monticello) added 77 yards on 12 carries as the Wildcats racked up 512 yards of total offense.

The Bulldogs were good for 349 yards of total offense but the Louisiana College defense forced three turnovers.
Defensive end Peter Ford (New Orleans, La./Teurlings Catholic) made three tackles for loss, including 1 ½ sacks for the Wildcats.

Linebacker Richard Logan (Coushatta, La./Red River HS) led the team in tackles with 11, eight solo, to go along with 1 ½ tackles for loss.
