PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana College women's soccer team wrapped it's 2011 home schedule Friday night by saying “Thank You” to a trio of seniors who have been with the team through thick and thin.

Stephanie Baer, Elizabeth Chappell and Anna Wynne were honored prior to the Lady Cats' game against East Texas Baptist, a contest ETBU won 3-0.

Baer, who also runs cross country and plays tennis at Louisiana College, and Wynne played three seasons apiece for LC while, Chappell played four.

The trio wore the captain's armband in their final home appearance and, while they might have come up short against the Tigers, the seniors and the entirety of the young Lady Cats can take solace in the fact that within the last week they've begun to turn the corner in the rebuilding process started with the hiring of coach Bruce Deaton in 2010.

Within the last week, the Lady Cats managed to end a two-year losing streak with a 1-0 victory over Schreiner and, on Thursday night, end a three-year home drought with a  4-2 win over LeTourneau, the best offensive showing for LC since 2007.

The Lady Cats will wrap their 2011 campaign on the road next week with visits to Texas-Tyler and Concordia.
