Box Score
BELTON, Texas – No. 19 Louisiana College's visit to No. 4 Mary Hardin-Baylor started out almost perfectly. The Wildcats scored the first 10 points of the game and held the mighty Cru offense in check.

However, a collection of stalled series and turnovers resulted in 36 unanswered points and a 36-10 victory for Mary Hardin Baylor (5-0, 3-0 American Southwest Conference).

Louisiana College (3-1, 1-1 American Southwest Conference) committed three turnovers, all interceptions, and was forced to punt eight times, tied for fourth most in a single game in school history.

The Wildcats came out firing on all cylinders, marching their first possession 61 yards in 13 plays and taking a 3-0 lead on a 24-yard field goal by Adan Olivares.

Two possessions later, and following an interception by Reggie Calhoun, LC increased its lead to 10-0 when Dayne Reeves set up a two-yard touchdown run by Ryan Montague with a 40-yard reception of a Jamie Bunting pass.

Mary Hardin-Baylor was not dead and, with 5:26 to play in the second quarter, drew to within 10-7 of the lead after junior quarterback LiDarral Bailey capped a nine-play, 66-yard drive with a 10-yard touchdown run, the first touchdown surrendered by the LC defense in 10 quarters.

On the Cru's next possession Bailey accounted for 52 of 62 yards on a three-play drive that ended with a 10-yard touchdown run by Darius Wilson and a 14-10 lead for Mary Hardin-Baylor.

After a three-and-out by the LC offense, the Cru pushed its lead to 17-10 just before the half with a 33-yard field goal by Chad Peevey.

Peevey added a 40 -yard field goal on the Cru's first drive of the second half to bump the score to 20-10.

After five consecutive series in which the Wildcats and Cru were forced to punt, the Cru upped its lead to 26-10 with 54 seconds to play in the third quarter after Elijah Hudson struck on a 43-yard run to cap a nine-play, 79-yard drive.

A third field goal by Peevey, this a 31-yard effort with seven minutes to play, made the score 29-10 and effectively ended the game.

An 66-yard interception returned for a touchdown by Mary Hardin-Baylor's Cody Jones rounded out the scoring.

Wilson, Bailey and Hudson each eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark for the Cru, Wilson gaining 171 yards on 25 carries, Bailey 110 yards on 19 carries and Hudson 103 yards on 13 carries.
