Box Score
PINEVILLE, La. – A year ago, the Louisiana College men upset then-ranked Texas-Dallas in the friendly confines of H.O. West Fieldhouse. This year, in the same location, the home standing Wildcats had no such luck, falling 60-56 to UTD in American Southwest Conference action.

Louisiana College (7-8, 6-5 ASC), used just seven players in the game, JeLani Mitchell, Jarrod Jackson and Chukwuma Ekeh playing the all 40 minutes of the contest.

Korey Salmon and Danny Sumner, the Wildcats' other two starters, were also on the court for 30-plus minutes and, along the Ekeh, Mitchell and Jackson, never left the floor in the second half.

LC trailed 33-25 in at the break, rallied to outscore Texas Dallas 31-27 in the second half, but could not overcome the Comets (12-5, 9-4 ASC), who were paced offensively by guard Curtis Davis, who posted an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Chris Barnes and Greg Chiasson added 14 and 11 points, respectively, for Texas Dallas.
Jackson was the top scorer for the Wildcats, putting up a game-high 25 to go along with six rebounds. Mitchell added 13 points and three assists in the loss.

There will be no rest for the weary as LC will have to regroup for a Monday-night showdown with rival Mississippi College, a contest that will be the Wildcats' third in five days. That game, rescheduled from earlier in the year, will tip at 7:30 p.m.
