PINEVILLE, La. - The Louisiana College men and women both came up short on the pitch Thursday night against visiting conference foe Schreiner.
The Wildcats lost 7-0 while the Lady Wildcats fell by a count of 3-0.
In the men's game, Schreiner scored two goals in the first half and five in the second.
Philip Anderson scored a pair of goals off the bench for Schreiner, which fired off 23 shots in the game, 19 on goal.
LC goalie Filip Linder made 12 saves on the night.
In the women's game, LC trailed just 1-0 at the break, but allowed two second-half goals.
Maggie Rios provided two goals in the contest for Schreiner.
Despite the loss, it was one of the most productive offensive days for the Lady Wildcats, who got off nine shots in the match, six of which were on goal.
Martha Means and Marionne Coronel got two shots on goal apiece while
Lydia Magallanes and
Iris Tuttle provided one apiece.
Tuttle narrowly missed out on an amazing goal from more than 20 yards out when she skied a shot toward the Schreiner net and hit the crossbar.
