Not all was bleak for the Wildcats, however, as Chukwuma Ekeh had one of his best outings of the year, producing a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double.
Sophomore guard Jarrod Jackson was good for 12 points and four assists on the night for the Wildcats with Phillip George adding seven points and JeLani Mitchell six.
Sul Ross was led by Andy Hulsey, who, ironically, matched Ekeh stat-for-stat with his own 16-point, 11-rebound double-double.
Steven Johunkin added 11 points for the Lobos, who improved to 2-7 overall and 2-4 in ASC play.
LC's men will next be in action Saturday at 3 p.m. at home against Howard Payne.
