2015-2016 (Senior Season)
Gaines wrapped up one of the finest careers in school history at Louisiana College with another tremendous campaign in 2015-2016 … The senior led his team to the program’s first ever ASC Championship game appearance, wrapping up the program’s best ever finish since joining Division III in 2000 … Gaines led LC in scoring (18.6 PPG), rebounds (9.4 RPG), steals (2.1 SPG), blocks (1.6 BPG), and finished second in assists (2.2 APG) while ranking 2
nd in the ASC in scoring, 2
nd in rebounding, 3
rd in steals, and 3
rd in blocked shots, the only player to rank in the top 10 in the conference in all 4 categories … The senior forward was one of the nation’s most well-rounded and versatile performers, as he was one of only two players in the country to average at least 18.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in 2015-2016 … Gaines was at his best in the biggest moments as he averaged 23 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 4.3 steals per game during the Wildcats historic run in the ASC Tournament … Gaines’ career totals of 717 rebounds and 174 steals both rank 1
st in school history in teh Division III era while his 1,609 points and 136 blocks both rank 2
nd in school history in the Division III era … Gaines is just the second player in American Southwest Conference history to record career totals of 1,600 points, 700 rebounds, 150 assists, 150 steals, and 125 blocks, joining UT-Dallas’ Kyle Schleigh.

Played in all 24 games with 23 starts ... Averaged a team-high 20.6 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game, 2.1 steals per game, and 2.0 blocks per game ... Season totals of 494 points, 191 rebounds, 45 assists, 51 steals, and 49 blocks.
2013-2014 (Sophomore Season)
Played in 22 games with 17 starts ... Was an early candidate for ASC Player Of The Year before a late season knee injury ... Averaged 15.6 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, 1.4 assists per game, 1.5 steals per game, and 1.4 blocks per game ... Season totals of 344 points, 164 rebounds, 32 assists, 33 steals, and 32 blocks.
2012-2013 (Freshman Season)

Averaged 12.9 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game, and 1.62 steals per game on his way to being named ASC East Co-Freshman of the Year along with teammate Kevin Cottonham ...
