Wilson joined the Wildcats coaching staff in 2022, after two years at Montana State Northern as a running backs and tight ends coach and one year at Chadron State College in Nebraska.Â
During his coaching career he has helped improve both the run and pass game at his previous stops, as well as assisted on every special teams unit at his previous schools. At Northern he helped aide punter Hunter Riley to first team all conference honors in the 2021 spring season. During his time at Chadron State he was a part of a special teams unit that was ranked 4th in the Nation in blocked kicks and had three time special teams player of the week kicker Gunnar Jones.Â
He started his playing career at quarterback at College of Sequoias Junior College and later transferred to Montana State University-Northern, where he was the starting quarterback in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Wilson totaled over 8,000 yards passing and 1,000 rushing and had a total of 68 touchdowns in his collegiate career earning Offensive Player of the year in both his junior and senior years.Â
Wilson graduated from MSU-Northern in 2019 with a bachelors in Health promotion and is set to graduate with a masters in organizational leadership/sport management in June of 2022.Â
From Fresno, California, Wilson is the son of Tom and Kerry Wilson. He has two brothers - Tanner, who is a sophomore quarterback at Sunnyside High School in Fresno, and Travis who recently wrapped up his playing career at linebacker for Chadron State.
