Joe Weaver enters his first year coaching at Louisiana Christian University in 2023. He played one season of baseball at Southwest Mississippi CC and 3 seasons of professional baseball with the Texas Rangers. After his baseball career, he began coaching high school football and baseball at Oak Forest Academy(Amite, LA) from ‘03-’10 where he was OL/DL and special teams coach. He then coached at Amite School Center(Liberty, MS) from ‘16-’23 as OL/DC, then Head Coach. He has served in church ministry as Youth Minister at Montpelier Baptist Church from ‘06-’10, Senior Pastor of Chappapeela Baptist Church ‘10-’12, Osyka Baptist Church ‘13-’16, and Youth Minister at Liberty Baptist Church ‘17-’23. He is a 2012 graduate of Levell College (NOBTS) and a 2014 graduate of Louisiana College obtaining his Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministries. He is married to Jenny and has 2 children (Jacob and Julia).
