Jarod Freeman rejoins Louisiana Christian University for his second stint, as a Defensive Assistant Coach for 2024-2025 season.
He re-joins the Wildcats staff following 2 years at Alexandria Senior High School (ASH) as the Nickels/ Outside Linebackers coach, and recruiting coordinator. He helped ASH achieve great success making it to the Quarter finals in 2023 (3rd round of Louisiana 5a playoffs). During his time at ASH, he coached 2 ALL-District Outside Linebackers, and helped recruit 9 players to play college football.
Previous to Alexandria Senior High School, Freeman coached Tight Ends at Louisiana College, now Louisiana Christian University for the 2021-2022 season. During this season, he coached All-Conference TE (Tyler Darbonne), while helping the Wildcats to a 5-6 season.
Freeman has spent time as the defensive line coach at St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas while helping 4 defensive lineman gain scholarships to play college football. He also coached the defensive line/ Running backs and track team at West Lake Middle School in Humble, TX. Where he helped the team secure 2 undefeated, back to back district championships.
Before his coaching journey began, he served in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years, serving multiple combat tours in Afghanistan, before retiring as a Sergeant.
Freeman graduated from the University of Houston. He was originally recruited out of Spring Woods Senior High in Houston to play football at Stephen F. Austin State University, in Nacogdoches, Texas.
He resides in Alexandria, Louisiana with his wife, Sarah. Together they have 3 kids Bryce, Carter, and Tennley.
