2014 (Sophomore):
Had another big year under center as the Wildcats' starting quarterback on his way to being named the ASC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and a 1st Team All-ASC selection, joining Ben McLaughlin (2010) as the only other quarterbacks in program history to garner both awards in the same season ... Started all 10 games as LC's primary signal caller ... Completed 221 of his 415 passes (53.3%) with 11 interceptions and finished 2nd in the ASC in both passing yards (2,968) and passing touchdowns (24) ... His 2,968 passing yards ranked 9th in nation while his 24 touchdowns ranked 29th nationally ... Melancon was at his best against the best competition as he tossed for 389 yards and 3 touchdowns against #4 ranked Wesley College on October 4th and followed that with a 383 yard 3 touchdown performance two weeks later against #2 ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor on October 18th, with both of those games coming on the road ... Caught his 1st career touchdown pass in a 42-35 season finale win over Hardin-Simmons on a 17 yard strike from receiver Farron Jones.

2013 (Freshman): 
Had the best season by a freshman quarterback at LC since Ben McLaughlin in 2006 ... Took over as the Wildcats' starting quarterback in game three of the season against Huntingdon ... Completed 176 of his 355 passes (49.6%) for 2,386 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions ... His 419 passing yards on October 19th against Mary Hardin-Baylor were the most ever for a Louisiana College quarterback against UMHB.
