SHREVEPORT, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's basketball team found itself down 15 points before getting on the board and could not recover in a 73-32 loss to the (RV) LSU Shreveport Pilots Thursday night at The Dock.

Kateria Gooden got to the rim and scored to get the Wildcats' first points of the night. (RV) LSU Shreveport (18-2, 14-0 RRAC) didn't let up, leading by as much as 17 points in the fist quarter. LCU would only get as close as 12 points the rest of the way.
Kylei Leblanc led the Wildcats with eight points and seven rebounds. She also had three steals, blocked two shots, and had an assist.
Amiyah Simpkins came up with four steals to go with her three points and four rebounds.
Carlea Owens grabbed six rebounds while scoring five points, blocking a shot, getting a steal, and giving out an assist.
Jakiya Thompson led the reserves with six points.
The Wildcats now head to Texarkana to wrap up this quick trip up north with a game against Texas A&M-Texarkana. Tip-off of Saturday's contest against the Eagles (12-7, 11-3 RRAC) is set for 1 p.m. at the Patterson Student Center.
