Louisiana Christian Opens 2025 Volleyball Season in the Texas Two-Step

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 Fort Worth, Texas – The Louisiana Christian Volleyball team opened the 2025 season in the Dallas Metroplex at the Texas Two-Step Invitational over the weekend as the Wildcats dropped four matches in the invite.
 
Rochester Christian 3, Louisiana Christian 1
In the opening match of the season, the Wildcats broke out to an early advantage by taking the first set 25-23 before Rochester Christian took the next three sets 25-9, 25-23, and 25-11 to claim the match 3-1 at Texas Wesleyan.

The Wildcats had 133 total attacks with 36 kills for a hitting percentage of .038 in the match, while Rochester Christian had a .350 hitting percentage in the victory. Alanah Dugar paced the Louisiana Christian attack with 18 kills, while Emma Cother handed out 31 assists, with Madison Danley finishing the match with 15 digs.
 
Lindsey Wilson 3, Louisiana Christian 1
 
After dropping the first two sets 25-14 and 25-16, the Wildcats bounced back to claim the third set 29-27, before following on the fourth set 25-19 as Lindsey Wilson claimed the match 3-1 at Texas Wesleyan to close out the first day in Fort Worth.
The Wildcats finished the day with a .094 hitting percentage after having 37 kills on 149 total attacks, while the Blue Raiders completed the match with a hitting percentage of .234 with 60 kills. Kourtlyn Smith led the way for the Wildcats with 10 kills, while Cother finished with 30 assists, with Angelina Medrano and Cother having 15 digs apiece.
 
Evangel 3, Louisiana Christian 0
 
The Wildcats opened the second day of the Invite by being swept by Evangel 25-12, 25-13, and 25-15 at Nelson University in Waxahachie, Texas.
Louisiana Christian had 22 kills in the match, with Dugar leading the way with seven kills, while Cother added 15 helpers, with Danley finishing the match with 13 digs. The Valor had 40 kills in the match for a hitting percentage of .238 to claim the victory.
 
Huston-Tillotson 3, Louisiana Christian 0
 
The Wildcats finished their trip to Texas by dropping three very competitive sets to Huston-Tillotson 26-24, 25-29, and 25-20 to finish the weekend with a 0-4 record.
Louisiana Christian finished the match with a hitting percentage of .057 with 32 kills on 123 total attacks, while Huston-Tillotson had a .259 hitting percentage with 42 kills. Smith finished the match with nine kills while Cother handed out 26 assists, with Danley adding 14 digs in the loss.
 
The Wildcats return to the court on Friday, Sept. 5, as they will head to Conway, Ark., to play Dallas Christian at 3 p.m. and then Tougaloo at 8 p.m.
