Baseball’s Season Comes To Disappointing End After Two Days In Kingsport

 
KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The #5 seed Louisiana Christian University baseball program could not shake off the rust nor the nearly constant weather delays that had followed them to the Kingsport Regional, falling for the third ballgame in-a-row as the Cats head into the offseason after a 10-0 defeat versus (RV) / #2 seed Cumberland (Tennessee).

  • Jake Messina was the only player who donned the Orange and Blue to reach second base in the finale, roping a double down the right field line.
 
  • Luke Morgan came through in his pinch-hit appearance, singling his way on-base while Nick Lorio collected the third and final knock.
   
  • Trip Flotte as well as Seth Whitney were the brightest spots on the pitching staff, tossing a scoreless inning each with three strikeouts between them.
 
  • While Braxton Cooksey's line did not look as stellar as he had hoped for, he did have his strikeout stuff cooking with four of his six outs recorded came when Phoenix batters connected on nothing but air.
