PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program recognizes baseball's Braden McLin and softball's Lexi Broussard as this week's LCU Student-Athletes of the Week.
 
McLin, a junior from Livingston, Louisiana, set personal single game-highs regarding defensive putouts (4), stolen bases (3), RBIs (3), hits (2) and runs scored (2) during the team's three-game sweep of Jarvis Christian. Overall, he led the Wildcats in batting average (.500), on-base percentage (.545), hits (5), stolen bases (4), runs scored (4) and RBIs (3) while the Baton Rouge CC transfer also recorded six total bases, a double plus a walk in addition to going a perfect 9-for-9 on chances in the outfield, all putouts.
 
Broussard, a junior from Maurice, Louisiana, set a career-high with 5 RBIs in the game two, Senior Day win vs. Xavier including the team's first grand slam since the 2023 RRAC Tournament, which was her first career home run of any kind. When Jordan Dauthier went back-to-back with her in the following at-bat, they became the first duo to go back-to-back since March 30, 2023. On the week, she led the Wildcats in RBIs (6), triple the amount of the second-highest player, in addition to hitting .333 with a slugging percentage of .667 while racking up a trio of hits, two runs scored and a stolen base.
