Baseball Begins New Winning Streak With Doubleheader Sweep

 
PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University baseball program have won ten straight games on-campus and started a new overall winning streak after scoring eight unanswered runs over the final four frames, dispatching the Jarvis Christian Bulldogs to sweep the doubleheader, 8-2.

Wildcats Top Performers:
 
  • Braden Trull reached safely in all four of his plate appearances in game two, officially going 3-of-3 with two runs scored, a double plus a walk.
 
  • Coleman Haltom has yet to taste defeat in 2025, upping his record to 3-0 for the campaign after setting career-highs for both innings pitched (5.1) and strikeouts (7), allowing just one earned run (two total) and three hits/walks.
 
  • Chris Kelley was one of five players with multiple hits, touching home plate twice and lacing an RBI-double to right-center.
 
  • Kade Linn put together his second save of the season and his tenure on "The Hill", keeping his swing-and-miss stuff flowing with six Ks of his possible 11 outs recorded (54.5%) for a 3.2 inning gem that saw just one hit recorded.
 
  • Braden McLin kept his hot bat steaming, coming around to score on each of his base knocks (a two-bagger and a single).
   
  • Adrian Aguilar logged an RBI-single and drew a base on balls while Caleb Duhon did not even have to swing the bat to drive in a run as his lone plate appearance resulted in a bases loaded walk.

  • The Cats will look to finish off their fourth sweep in its past five Red River Athletic Conference series' on Friday at noon against the Dogs.
