PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University baseball program was severely hindered by a brilliant pitching performance by Texas A&M-Texarkana's Blake Taylor, recording two of their four hits in a ninth inning rally that fell two runs shy in a 3-1 setback.

• Jacob Bareswill (5-1) did not pitch terribly, allowing eight singles in seven strong innings, striking out four Eagles while trying to navigate a microscopic strike zone.

 

• Colton Williams tossed two scoreless frames with just one walk given up plus a whiff.

 

• Adrian Aguilar was accountable for two of the Cats' four knocks in a 2-for-3 day with the other two coming from Brady Huffman and pinch-hitter Logan Bertucci, the latter scoring the lone run.

 

• Hunter Gotreaux kept hope alive with his walk coming off the bench and Harrison Waxley jogged down to first earlier in the ballgame.
