Wildcats Top Performers:
- Brady Huffman has been on another level since the calendar flipped to April as he collected another three hits and three RBIs, scored two times, and blasted his first career homer (two-run).
- Speedster Caleb Duhon also did a little yard work as well, putting a charge into his first dinger of 2025 and third of his LCU tenure when he uncorked a three-run bomb in the fourth as part of a multi-hit Saturday.
- Logan Lobell blended a patient approach with a steady swing, reaching four times in total courtesy of a 2-for-3 showing with an RBI-double on top of two walks.
- Chris Kelley brought back some of his pinch-hit magic that was on full display during the team's postseason run the year prior, jumping on a seventh inning meatball that brought home a pair while he hustled his way in for his first ever triple.
- Harrison Waxley picked up a multi-hit contest in his own right, hammering a two-bagger while Nick Lorio tallied a double as well to cap the Cats' production at the plate with six total extra-base knocks (three doubles, two home runs, and a triple).
Next:
- What was originally supposed to be a return trip during a home-and-home series is now a doubleheader on Tuesday at 2/4:30 p.m. in Westwego against the 12th-ranked Loyola (New Orleans) Wolf Pack.
