PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program will have a pair of former national champions square off on-campus along with a spring break trip and a weekend in the Big Easy.
Tuesday, March 11:
Softball begins a six-game, three doubleheader homestand with the United States Sports Academy out of Daphne, Alabama at 2/4 p.m. inside Wildcat Park.
Following the ladies at 5 p.m., baseball hosts the Wiley University Wildcats for the first of five-in-a-row against HBCU competition.
Wednesday, March 12 - Friday, March 14:
Men's golf returns to the links in Opelika, Alabama for the Spring Break Invitational, with the host school coming all the way down to the Heart of Dixie from Michigan, Lawrence Tech.
Friday, March 14:
Softball hosts the Texas A&M-San Antonio Jaguars for an afternoon twin-bill (2:30 / 4:30 p.m.).
Baseball will then gave the newest hardball squad in the Red River in one of the oldest stadiums, taking on the Xavier (Louisiana) Gold Rush at historic Skelly-Rupp Stafium for a single game (5 p.m.).
Saturday, March 15:
The Pineville Nine continue its blending of old and new on Saturday when they finish the three-game set with XULA at noon and 3 p.m. on a field that was just recently renovated / reopened after laying dormant for nearly two decades.
A rare sight will occur on-campus Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. when two former National Championship-winning programs compete as the 2003 NCCAA Champion Wildcats square off with the reigning 2024 NAIA National Champion Our Lady of the Lake Saints, who enter the weekend ranked ninth in the nation.
