PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's soccer team couldn't find its offensive flow, falling 4-0 to the Our Lady of the Lake Saints Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Field.
Louisiana Christian (4-3, 3-3 RRAC) was under pressure from almost the start as OLLU (6-4-2, 3-2-1 RRAC) took 16 first half shots while the Wildcats were held without an attempt on goal in the first 45 minutes.
The Saints got an early tally, scoring in the ninth minute. That was followed by goals in the 37
th and 43
rd minutes to give OLLU a 3-0 lead at the break.
LCU tried to apply pressure to start the second half, getting their only shot of the match in the 51
st minute as Giselle Liang was able to get a look at goal, putting her shot on target and forcing OLLU's back-up goalkeeper into action.
However, OLLU turned the pressure and continued to get shots up, leading to their fourth goal of the day, which came in the 56
th minute.
Lucia Solanilla Leo (3-1) suffered her first loss of the season, coming up with 11 saves but conceding her first four goals of 2025 in the contest.
The Wildcats now head out for four-straight away from Pineville, starting on Thursday in Texarkana against Texas A&M-Texarkana. Kickoff of Thursday's contest against the Eagles (8-3-2, 3-2-1 RRAC) is set for 1 p.m. at Judy Kelley Morgan Field.
