Wildcats Stomp Stallions To Make It Five Straight Wins

 
PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball program has now defeated every current member of the Red River Athletic Conference at least once since joining in 2021-22, racing past North American for an 82-71 triumph by using a balanced attack.
 
The guys are above .500 in RRACtion for the first time since ending the 2021-22 campaign at 8-7 (53.3%).

Wildcats Top Performers:
 
  • Bryce Weinmunson hit double-digits in scoring for the tenth time of 2024-25, tying for the game's most points with 17, hitting a season-best seven field goals in 12 attempts (58.3%) and 6-of-7 (85.7%) from inside the arch.
 
  • Joseph Holloway also drained a season-high seven buckets en route to a personal-record of 16 points, being even more efficient than his counterpart at 7-for-11 (63.6%) plus adding five rebounds to his line.
 
  • Devin Carter, on top of scoring ten or more for the 13th consecutive outing, was a jack-of-all-trades on the night as he put together 12 points, campaign-bests in both rebounds (7) and assists (5), as well as a pair of steals, the latter two being the most by an Orange and Blue clad student-athlete.
 
  • Jon'Quarius McGhee rounded out the double-figure scoring party with a dozen of his own, doing so in a span of just 16 minutes off the bench while reigning RRAC Defender of the Week Chukwuemeke Nwaoshai led all players at nine boards plus two blocks.

  • The winning streak can reach a half-dozen if the Wildcats can take care of business in a "trap game" versus Huston-Tillotson at 3 p.m. on Saturday as long as they do not look ahead to Tuesday's huge Red River Rivalry contest vs. #4 LSUA.
