Guys Get Back On Track With Big Win Versus Wiley

 
PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University men's soccer program came within ten minutes of its second shutout of the season, nonetheless, the squad saw two of its stars return to help stomp Wiley University by a 4-1 margin.

Wildcats Top Performers: 
 
  • Pedro Sao Tiago's legendary start to his career only grows further, notching his first multi-goal match (2), multi-SOG outing (2), and game-winning score as he collected five points with goals in both the 23rd plus 65th minutes in addition to an assist at the 51:33 mark.
 
  • Sergio Pita Martin, who had missed the team's first four matches with an injury, stepped back on the pitch and immediately paid dividends for the home side, drilling his lone shot attempt home just seven minutes into the second half, career goal #26 for the program's all-time leader.
 
  • Lucas Lima did not register a point, however, he managed to set career-highs in shots (4) as well as shots-on-goal (3).
 
  • Thiago Lopes netted himself goal number three of his 16-contest tenure on "The Hill", getting the Orange and Blue on the board for the first time in September while Matej Motycka provided the assist.
   
  • Rodrigo Silva went against ten shots and made four saves, putting together a clean sheet in his 75 minutes and 15 seconds of work.

  • Amazingly, Sao Tiago has already put himself in the record books by recording his fourth assist of 2024, tying himself for ninth on the single-season leaderboard after just five tilts.
 
Game 
 
  • That's not all for the Brazilian forward as his five-point evening (2 goals, 1 assist) made him the tenth different player to score five or more points in a single match, having only happened 15 times now in the program's 460th match since becoming a varsity sport in 1998.
