Volleyball Sweeps Through Florida Memorial & SUNO In Dominant Final Day

 
MOBILE, Ala. – The Louisiana Christian University volleyball program took out its frustrations from its three-match losing streak on the pair of HBCUs in Saturday's doubleheader, steamrolling its way to convincing 3-0 victories over Florida Memorial and SUNO as they finished the Rams Invitational on a positive note.

Wildcats Top Performers: 
 
  • The women from Pineville were deadly from behind the service line versus FMU, led by career-highs from Kierra Jones (4, 1.33 p/s) and Madison Danley (3, 1.00 p/s).
 
  • Kate Campbell had a smooth swing working all day, clubbing a team-high 25 kills (4.16 p/s), a dozen more than the next best, Jones, with 13.
 
  • Emma Cother saw her double-double streak live on to four in-a-row opposite the Lions (25 assists / 11 digs) before seeing it end versus the Knights. Nevertheless, the setter was in a groove from the opening serve, averaging nearly double-digit assists per set (9.16 p/s, 55 total) in addition to 15 digs (2.50 p/s), three blocks (0.50 p/s), and two kills (0.33 p/s).
 
  • Leah Stamps picked up ten or more digs in each outing for a grand tally of 22 (3.67 p/s) and Jones kept her defensive guard up, rocketing seven (1.17 p/s) shot attempts hurtling back at their senders.
