PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's tennis program felt a tad rusty following a two-week layoff due to rain outs on Friday, dropping its home tilt with Southeastern Louisiana University on Sunday afternoon, 4-0.

Wildcats Top Performers:
 

• Elizaveta Mikhailova was the closest to claiming victory against a quality mid-major DI foe, taking seven points against Claudia Di Leonardo on the fifth flight (6-3, 5-4) before the match was called.

 

• Both #1 Patricia Principal Pineda and #3 Raquel Coelho Rodrigues played well enough to claim five points apiece as the former went unfinished versus Alba Perez (6-4, 4-1) while the latter fell to Kate Oborina (6-2, 6-3).

 

• Wrapping up singles action, SLU's Leana Gomez led Alexandra Cedeno (6-3, 4-1) on the second line that went unfinished and the duo of Ana Sofia Ferrer Martinez as well as Tanit Cevada Cruz dropped their showdowns to Bente Bierma (6-0, 6-2) and Panatchakom Suanarsa (6-2, 6-0) on courts four and six, respectively.

 

• The only doubles pairing that was able to dent the board against the Lions was the top team of Principal Pineda / Ferrer Martinez, taking a game opposite the Green and Gold's Bierma / Gomez tandem.
