Wildcats Top Performers:
- McKayla Price is one of only two active Freshmen on most gamedays, but she has begun playing like a season veteran once the calendar flipped to February, pacing either side with a season-most 19 points and nine free throws made as she went 5-for-7 (71.4%) from the court on top of six boards plus three dimes.
- Deja Tanks broke the tie with Princis Goff for the most double-doubles among the ladies in the locker room, collecting her eighth of the year via 16 points and a Wildcat-high 12 rebounds while splashing all six of her field goal attempts over 17+ minutes.
- Tanks was not the only perfect player on offense as DaKayla Howard was a perfect 8-of-8 from the line en route to 14 points in addition to passing for seven assists (game-high) and a five-spot on the glass.
- Olivia Scott saved her best defensive performance for the second-to-last "home" contest of her tenure, swiping a career-most five steals to go along with a productive evening on the other end of the floor as well (13 points).
- Yahzmynne Andrews threw her own personal block party and all of the visitors were invited, sending a personal-record three shots back to whence they came, which accounted for 60% of the entire tally over the full 40 minutes, and all of the rejection out of the Cats' camp.
Notes:
- The offense picked the perfect night to have its most efficient shooting effort of the season, connecting on a season-high 47.3% of their shots (26-of-55) as well as a RRAC contest-best 26 free throws made.
- The defense also made sure that the Bulldogs were limited in everything they did as the Wildcats registered a campaign-most 39 defensive rebounds, took away the perimeter shooting by ceding a paltry 13% conversion rate from beyond the arch, and forcing a its most turnovers of the year with 23 JCU miscues.
