PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's tennis program remained firmly in cruise control, taking down Grambling State in its home opener for their fourth consecutive win and third straight shutout by a spotless 7-0 tally.

The triumph is the first over a squad from the NCAA's highest division since as far back as the website's records currently go (2008) as well as its most single-season victories in that same timespan after only six matches.

- Patricia Principal Pineda continued her blistering hot stretch of play, easily dispatching Jovana Latinovich by a combined 12-1 score in the top singles spot.

- On the next flight down was Alexandra Cedeno, who defeated Taku Mawisire by a 6-3, 6-1 decision.

- The biggest fight put up by the Tigers was in the three-hole as Raquel Coelho Rodrigues battled Claire Machisa as game one went to a tiebreaker with the Cats prevailing 7-6 before cleaning up the sweep at 6-3.

- Principal Pineda / Cedeno blanked Latinovich / Machisa, 6-0, and Coelho Rodrigues / Ferrer Martinez doubled up Mawisire / Dziova, 6-3, in the first and second doubles flights, respectively.
