PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's basketball program turned the ball over 30 times against one of the better teams in the Red River Athletic Conference and paid the price, falling to Xavier (Louisiana) by a final of 66-52.

Wildcats Top Performers: 
 
  • Yahzmynne Andrews has come on strong as the season progresses, logging season-bests in points (8), field goals (4), and blocks (3) in addition to perfect shooting effort from the floor (4-for-4) plus a pair of steals.
 
  • Maya Washington set a campaign-high for assists at four to tie for the contest's most with teammate DaKayla Howard, with both contributing eight points and four/five rebounds to the stat sheet, respectively.
 
  • Princis Goff was the lone Wildcat to hit double-digits, going for 11 points, four boards, two steals, and her first career two-block effort while making 5-of-7 (71.4%) field goal attempts.
 
  • Deja Tanks led all participants on the glass at 13 rebounds on top of eight points while freshman Kameryn Williams handed out her first career assist.
 
Notes:
 
  • LCU has been one of the best perimeter defenses in the league in 2023-24 and displayed it on Saturday, holding a potent Gold Nuggets offense to only three triples.
