Massive Fourth Quarter by Jarvis Christian Bites Women’s Hoops

 
HAWKINS, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University women's basketball program clung to a five-point advantage (48-43) entering the final period of regulation on Thursday however, Jarvis went on to score 27 of the final 40 points (67.5%) in the last ten minutes to pull off the victory, 70-61.

  • Deja Tanks nearly got back to her dominant ways, falling one point shy of her tenth career double-double with season-highs of both 11 rebounds (five offensive) and nine points on top of a block plus her first steal of 2024.
 
  • Kylei Leblanc almost got her first double-double as well, falling one board short at nine to go along with ten points, shooting 50% from the court (4-for-8) in the process while setting season/team-highs in terms of both steals and assists, notching a trio apiece.
 
  • DaKayla Howard led the modest offensive totals with an even dozen, doing most of her damage from the free throw line (8-of-11) in addition to seven boards.
 
  • M'Kiyiah Olivier joined her freshman counterpart (Leblanc) in having her most well-rounded game to date, producing a campaign-most seven points and four rebounds.
 
  • One final note goes to McKayla Price as the 5-foot-11 Sophomore from Zwolle sent her first field goal attempt of the season back into a shooter's face for block number one.
