HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball program saw three of its newcomers and one of its returning student-athletes cross the double-figure scoring threshold, but it was not enough to stop the host Crusaders from eking out a tightly-contested 90-84 battle that saw neither team hold a lead of more than ten.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Devin Carter has quickly established himself as the go-to guy when the Wildcats need a basket by leading all players with 24 points, seven free throws made and five three-pointers while also leading LCU in steals at three.
- Jonothon Barnes played the role of wingman on the afternoon, dishing out a game-high five assists in addition to eight points, a trio of boards plus a steal.
- Joseph Holloway and Bryce Weinmunson both had similar stat lines in the Hub City, averaging 15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, two steals, and an assist between them, going a combined 13-for-21 (61.9%) from the floor.
- Second-year Wildcat Omarion Layssard was the "veteran" mentioned in the opening paragraph, coming off the bench for a solid 11 points and five rebounds over 24 minutes on the hardwood.
