PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's soccer program powered through a 1-0 halftime deficit, multiple spurts of rainfall, a 14-2 corner kick disadvantage, and a very physical Saints squad to advance to the Conference Semifinals for just the second time in school history during a 3-1 home triumph Friday afternoon.
In a year of overcoming the odds, LCU had been 0-4 in matches where the opposition scored first and had lost both times when trailing at the break, but the ladies prevailed on the back of three unanswered second half scores.
