MARSHALL, Mo. – The Louisiana Christian University men's soccer program has advanced to the NAIA Tournament's Second Round for the second straight season, bucking the Broncos of Hastings (Nebraska) in a 1-0 defensive dual in which the Wildcats dominated.
LCU held the edge in nearly every category, out-shooting their opponents from the Husker State both overall (15-6) and on-goal (5-1), committing 15 fewer fouls (20-5), as well as breaking even in terms of corner kicks (5-5).

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Adrian Amoros Navarro became the first player in team history to hit the century mark for shots-on-goal, making his 100th extra special as it was his fifth career game-winner, lifting the Cats into a matchup with the host MVC Vikings during the 54th minute.
* He finished the afternoon with game-highs of four shots, two SOGs, a pair of points, and the lone goal.
- Lucas Lima recorded his 14th assist while representing "The Hill", second only to the man he set up for the score, in addition to taking one shot.
- The old adage of "they can't win if they can't score" has been the perfect postseason summary for the defense in 2024 as defenders Matej Motycka and Gabriel Zuniga, striker turned center back Sergio Pita Martin plus keeper Rodrigo Silva (one save Thursday) have now tallied four clean sheets in-a-row with 313 consecutive scoreless minutes and counting.

- Amoros Navarro added to his program-best totals for shots (178), points (88), and shots-on-goal (100) while gaining on Pita Martin in goals (29, second-highest) to go along with breaking a four-way tie for fourth on the go-ahead scores list (5).
- Lima joined Seth Collins (2017-21) in eighth on the all-time matches played list at 64 and Walters moved into sole possession of second on the shots ladder with 126.
- Silva's goals against average has been steadily creeping towards one, currently sporting a career GAA of 1.01 (best ever) and a 74.9% save percentage (fourth) as his shutout gives the Portuguese wall 18.5 (18 complete game, one combined).

- The triumph breaks the school record for most wins (and ties) in a single-season, breaking last year's benchmark with 16.5 in 2024.

- The four-match unbeaten streak is seventh-best for the Cats, the three-match winning string is sixth, and their tenth shutout of the campaign is one behind that 2023 club for the most by the Orange and Blue.
Season
- Navarro's 22 points are seventh on the single-season leaderboard, his 57 shots are now the most all-time, and the 34 shots-on-goal broke the tie for the best mark ever.
- Sao Tiago has a nice round 50-burger in terms of shots taken, usurping Oscar Gideon's 2007 total of 48 for fourth-most and Walters jumped from outside the top-ten to eighth in the same category (45).
