PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program would like to recognize football's Ethan Christman and women's basketball's Princis Goff as this week's LCU Student-Athletes of the Week with the latter being named RRAC Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Christman, a senior wide receiver from Tioga, Louisiana, joined freshman EJ Scott as the second LCU route runner to amass 200-plus receiving yards in a game this year, popping off career-highs in every category as his family watched him don the Cats helmet one last time. He caught six balls for 226 yards (37.7 YPC) and two touchdowns, including the team's longest play from scrimmage in 2024; an 86-yard beautiful score down the #7 Texas Wesleyan sideline.
 
Goff, a junior power forward from Atlanta, Louisiana, averaged 29.5 points, nine rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while compiling her eighth career double-double (31 points and 12 rebounds) in the 75-60 victory over Our Lady of the Lake. The LSUE transfer has now had double-double vision in 8-of-30 contests (26.7%) since joining the LCU family, leading the Cats in points (59), rebounds (18), field goals (18), three-pointers (5), three-point percentage (45.5%), and free-throw percentage (85.7%). The 2023-24 All-Louisiana Second Team and All-RRAC First Teamer can now boast three Red River Athletic Conference weekly accolades in addition to an LSWA (Louisiana Sports Writers Association) Player of the Week.
 
LCU ended Ben McLaughlin's debut campaign at 4-7 (36.4%) overall and 3-5 (37.5%) in the Sooner Athletic Conference, going 3-3 (50%) on the road.
 
Head Coach Anna Phillips and the women's hoopsters face the Huston-Tillotson Rams at 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening looking to start a winning streak.
