Record Book Watch:

Career

  • Pita Martin's fourth PK score of his career made him the team's all-time penalty kick king, breaking free of a previously held tie between him, Fellipe Albuquerque (2012-13), Alvaro Tudanca (2021-22), and Raffi Ferreira (2011-13).

  • Giraldez Franco stands alone as the second-longest tenured men's soccer student-athlete to ever grace the field at LCU, participating in his 71st contest as a Wildcat.

  • Silva lowered his club record GAA down to 1.09 and raised his fourth-best save percentage up to 74.4%.

Team

  • The win, their third consecutive, is the fifth-longest in history, same goes for their five-match unbeaten streak as well.

  • Other milestones for the squad include the ninth-most corner kicks (52), second-highest number of PK goals (3), and sixth regarding shutouts (2).

Season

  • Martin's second converted penalty of 2024 is second all-time for a year, just one behind Albuquerque for the top dog.

  • Thursday's goalkeeper for the Orange and Blue tallied his first complete game shutout of the season, along with his combined clean sheet, giving him 1.5 in total, seventh-most.

Next:

  • A road trip to Tyler, Texas transformed into a neutral site crosstown drive for the Cats as their match vs. Texas College will now take place on the campus of LSU Alexandria.
