PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University volleyball program ran into a buzzsaw, a.k.a the Texas A&M-Texarkana Eagles, on Friday night as they won their ninth match in-a-row by beating the Wildcats in straight sets.

Wildcats Top Performers: 

  • Madison Danley had the night of her life despite the scoreboard, setting a new personal-best with four service aces (1.33 p/s) on top of another four-spot (1.33 p/s) in the digs category.

  • Abby Revell was practically the entire offense for LCU, picking up 13 (4.33 p/s) of the team's 30 kills (43.3%), nearly hitting .300 (.290) with a block on defense.

  • Emma Cother logged 8.67 assists per set for a total of 26 plus seven digs (2.33 p/s), an ace, and a block.

  • Mallory Wills led those who live above the net with three rejections (1.00 p/s), one solo, and Katie Spell was the leader regarding digs at eight (2.67 p/s).

Record Book Watch:

Career

  • Danley's huge evening landed the defensive specialist in the record book, tying with Aniah Adams (2019-23) for tenth in aces at 45 for her career.

  • Leah Stamps played in her 335th set versus TAMUT, the third-most of all-time, jumping Jaslyn Bright (2017-21).

  • Kate Campbell put together 19 attacks, moving her into seventh on the career tally at 949.

Team

  • The only team milestone the Cats reached was total blocks, collecting five to move the group into second on the ladder with 117.

Season

  • Campbell is the leader in the clubhouse at 180 kills in 2024, knocking Kierra Jones' mark from last year out of tenth and replacing her there.

  • Cother surpassed herself (2022) for third-highest number of assists in a year (651) as well as ninth on the digs board (224).

  • Danley kept writing her name in the book, tying for the eight-most aces in a campaign at 24.
