Wildcats Top Performers:

  • Charles, who ranked 14th in the country for rushing touchdowns coming into the weekend, likely moved up the totem pole by adding three more scores on the ground in addition to a career-high 202 yards as he averaged nearly a first down per carry (9.2).

  • Brimmer, the reigning SAC Defensive Player of the Year, had gotten off to a bit of a slow start but has turned the corner the past two weeks, living in the Stallions backfield with a season-high 2.5 sacks for a total loss of 26 yards on top of another campaign-best of six total tackles as well.

  • Freshman signal-caller Allen Hamilton made his first start under center at North American and played mistake-free football, completing 12-of-19 passes (63.2%) for 162 yards and an opening drive connection to fellow freshman EJ Scott for a 51-yard touchdown, the first of Hamilton's career. The New Iberia Senior High School product also took it himself ten times and picked up 34 yards rushing, putting him four yards shy of 200 from scrimmage,

  • David Voorhies III and Pop McGhee established early on that it would be a "No Fly Zone" in the secondary as they both hauled down interceptions and each broke up three passes while Voorhies contributed four tackles and a TFL as well.

  • Levi Hilborn continues to amaze, handling kickoff, punt and field goal duties simultaneously without issue. For the day, he made his lone field goal try from 32 yards out, averaged 35.5 yards per punt with two downed in the red zone, launched one touchback as the kickoff specialist and made all four of his PATs.

  • First year student-athlete Jermarian Jackson had a huge impact for Defensive Coordinator Tyson Andrus, tallying a team-high seven tackles, forcing a fumble, registering his first career full sack and tacking on another half-tackle for loss in the process.

  • Ardell Reed had a monster outing, going for his first career 1.5 sacks and a personal-best five tackles while Michael Samson also got sack number one of his debut year in Orange and Blue with five tackles as well.

  • Dwayne Scott put together a pair of tackles for loss and Judson Mixon had one, dropping the ballcarrier 11 yards into the backfield.
