TYLER, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball program gave up a season-low 22 field goals for the second straight contest while ceding just four three-pointers, but errant passes led to 13 Steers steals which led to 18 points off turnovers during a 68-65 loss.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Jude Akabueze was far and away the best player every time he stepped on the court, going 8-for-11 (72.7%) for a game-best 22 points and 12 rebounds (seven more than the next highest student-athlete) while playing only 23 minutes.The double-double was his third of the 2023-24 campaign and his 12th donning the Orange and Blue.
- Drew Tebbe was the only other Wildcat to reach double-digit points, dropping 11 behind a career/contest-high three makes from distance including a 57.1% (4-of-7) success rate overall from the field.
Notes:
- Since joining the Red River Athletic Conference, LCU had never lost to Texas College in four previous meetings, averaging a margin of victory north of a dozen prior to Saturday afternoon.
