Amoros Navarro Records Hat Trick As Cats Score Most Goals In Program History

DALLAS, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University men's soccer program made history on Saturday at Paul Quinn, scoring the most goals in a game since the team came into existence in the late 1990s, shutting out the Tigers to mark the largest margin of victory as well, winning 8-0.

The previous record lasted just over two seasons before falling as the old benchmark was a 6-0 triumph at Millsaps on September 18, 2021.

  • Lucas Lima was in a giving mood as he set up a trio of scores, tying the program's all-time record for single-game assists with three.

  • The only other student-athlete to log three helpers in one contest was Matheus Carvalho, who did so at LeTourneau on September 27, 2014.

  • Career milestones are always memories to last a lifetime and a pair of Wildcats contributed their first collegiate goals as Alejandro Aranda Molina and Pablo Negro can now cross that off their to-do lists.

  • Rodrigo Silva posted his third shutout in the past four tilts, lowering his Goals Against Average down to 1.77 by tacking on three saves.

  • Fresh off its historic performance, the Wildcats will get to welcome Jarvis Christian to campus at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening as it looks to stay unbeaten in the Red River Athletic Conference.
