PINEVILLE – Louisiana Christian University's women's basketball team ran its winning streak to four games Saturday after defeating Our Lady of the Lake 77-70 in Red River Athletic Conference play.

At the H.O. West Fieldhouse, three Wildcat players scored in double-figures as LCU (13-9, 9-5 RRAC) moved past the visiting Saints into third place in the conference standings.

Paola Abad Prieto finished a rebound shy of a double-double as she scored a game-high 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting in addition to hauling in nine rebounds. The sophomore from Barcelona, Spain also handed out six assists and blocked three shots.

Miya McKinney posted her eighth consecutive double-double for the 'Cats, scoring 18 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
Claire Borot scored 17 points, which included a 3-for-7 showing from the 3-point circle.

Our Lady of the Lake (13-10, 10-6 RRAC) got 17 points apiece from guard Natalia Trevino and frontliner Tiffany Lopez.

While the 'Cats led for more than 30 minutes and never trailed in the second half, their visitors were always within striking distance as LCU's lead fluctuated between one and eight points after halftime. After shooting only 30 percent (6 of 20) from the floor in the first quarter, the 'Cats were 16-of-30 (53 percent) from the field after halftime.

Maya Washington scored eight points apiece off the LCU bench.
Noa Fernandez Fuentes handed out a game-high nine assists, which marked the third time in seven contests in which she has recorded nine or more helpers.

The 'Cats play their final two road games of the regular season this week when they head to northeast Texas for games at Jarvis Christian and Texas College. LCU opens its road trip Thursday at Jarvis Christian in Hawkins, Texas, with tipoff scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
