MOBILE, Ala. – The Louisiana Christian University men's soccer program's Cinderella story struck midnight on Saturday afternoon as the eighth seed Mobile Rams struck early with two goals in the opening ten minutes on its way to a 4-0 victory over the Orange and Blue in the Second Round of the NAIA Tournament.

Wildcats Top Performers:

• On a day where the offense was hindered by a smothering Rams defense, Lucas Lima was the only student-athlete to place a shot on-goal.

• Rodrigo had an uncharacteristically difficult time, saving three and ceding four goals, only the fourth time in 2023 that he gave up more scores than he saved.

• The four other shot takers for the Cats were Alejandro Sanchez Chacon, Pablo Negro, Adrian Amoros Navarro, and Sergio Pita Martin, each with one apiece.

Notes:

• The Wildcats ended the season with a team record 14 wins, the best winning percentage (.727), and the athletic program's first postseason win of any kind since 2011.

Next:

• LCU should retain its top four scorers (Pita Martin, Amoros Navarro, Shakeem Walters, and Fabian Perez), all ten of its All-RRAC selections, and it's starting goalie (Silva), looking to once again be a popular pick to win the league again in 2024.
