PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's basketball program started its regular season later than most but got the opening night home victory on Thursday night over the Bleu Devils, fending off the visitors from the Crescent City by a 69-63 margin.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Deja Tanks, an LSU Eunice transfer, was impressive in her LCU debut, recording a game-high 15 rebounds as well as 12 points.
- An'Tiesha Griffin came off the bench and was absolutely clutch from the charity stripe, dropping a career/contest-best 21 points with 13 of those coming on free throws.
- Griffin also led all players in both assists (3) and steals (3).
- Princis Goff had an all-around quality outing, scoring 18 points on 6-of-11 (54.5%) shooting, corralled seven boards, stole a tied for team-high three steals, and dished out a pair of assists.
- Yahzmynne Andrews did not score yet still made a big impact with a half-dozen rebounds and the club's only two blocks.
Notes:
- The ladies won in spite of the fact that they shot 1-of-11 (9.1%) from three-point range.
Next:
- The second and final exhibition of the campaign will happen on Tuesday at Louisiana-Monroe (6 p.m.) before returning home to host Wiley on the day that everyone gets back to campus, Monday, November 27 at 5 p.m. in a standalone bout.
