MEN'S HOOPS: Tougaloo College turns away Wildcats

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball team dropped the first of their two games at the Philander Smith College Thanksgiving Classic on Friday, as Tougaloo College claimed a 70-47 win over the Wildcats.

Delor Johnson scored a game-high 17 points for the Wildcats (3-3), while Bailey Hardy added 10 points for LCU. K.J. Bilbo chipped in five points in addition to eight rebounds and six blocked shots.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-0 as they defeated LCU for the second time this season. Tougaloo held the Wildcats to 19 percent (6 of 32) shooting from the field in the first half en route to a 44-18 halftime lead.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday when they take the court against the host team, Philander Smith College (7-0). Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m., with a live video stream of the game on PSC's athletics YouTube page.
