Louisiana College men's tennis returned to action this past weekend against Xavier University of Louisiana. The Wildcats hosted Xavier in their home opener in Pineville, Louisiana at the Louisiana College tennis courts. In what was originally supposed to be two games for the men was narrowed down to one due to their originally scheduled match against John Brown University was cancelled due to weather. This let the men only play only one series against Xavier University of Louisiana on Sunday in which they saw no success.

Nobody could even score a single point in men's doubles. Matthew Geisel and and Britton Patton started off the men, but failed to see any success. Evan Norwood/Wade Simmons and Jonathan Franklin/Desmond Bowers saw the Cats out, but no pair could secure a point and the men went 0-3 in doubles.

Singles action was not much better as the men repeated their pattern of generating zero offense. In his first round, Matthew Geisel took one point, but went on to lose the set 6-1 and the next 6-0. This would be the only point any Wildcat scored as the rest of the men did score another point for the duration of singles.
