The Louisiana College Wildcats took on the Tornados of Concordia University Thursday afternoon in an American Southwest Conference matchup.
A swirling Tornado attack blew the Cats away behind two goals in the first then four in the second to finish 6-0.
In the 20th minute, Skylar Larkin opened up the score-sheet with a free-kick after an LC foul in the midfield. Larkin's shot was too much for the veteran goalkeeper
Haley Clark to keep out.
In the 39th minute, Concordia earned a corner kick. The Cats cleared the ball but only as far as Alyssah Lugo, the Tornado, curled her shot past Clark into the upper right corner for the second goal.
Halftime was the only break LC had the entire day, four more goals would follow in the second half.
Pamela Lasprilla scored in the 60th minute, Kaycee Moore scored in the 72nd, Ana Sofia Elizondo scored in the 82nd, and Lauren Sumner finished the game out in the 84th with the sixth goal.
LC has yet to find the finishing touch in front of goal but they were able to look dangerous at times during the match. Different combinations were made during the build of play, it was that last pass that was missing and that prevented any comeback.
McKenna Raines,
Mackenzie David, and
Anndee Barr each had a shot, Barr had one on frame. Clark finished with eight saves, facing 30 with 14 between the sticks.
The Cats remain on the road for Saturday's ASC battle against the Univ. of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX., the game kickoffs at 2 p.m. For more on the Lady Wildcats follow them on Facebook under Louisiana College Women's Soccer and Twitter at LC_WSOC.
