The Louisiana College Wildcats traveled to Clarksville, Arkansas, for their final game of the season against the University of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon. The Eagles second-half dominance was too much for the Cats and fell 3-0.
The Eagles struck first in the 17th minute with a well-placed header across the face of goal, past
Evan Barker, off a corner kick. The Cats had one shot in the first half; Barker had four saves.
The Eagles continued to control the game in the second half. The Eagles extended their lead in the 68th minute with a quick side-footed shot off a cross.
Then in the 77th minute, off a short corner, the Eagles scored their third and final goal. Working toward the six-yard box, an Eagle shot and hit the roof of the net, not allowing Barker to get to it.
The Cats had chances to score, but the Ozark defense quickly put themselves between the ball and goal preventing anything to come of the opportunities. The Cats fell 3-0, and return home to start the preparing for the next season.
