LONGVIEW, TX - Kevin Lewis' game-high and season-high 21 points led the Louisiana College Wildcats to a 68-63 win over the LeTourneau Yellow Jackets in American Southwest Conference action on Thursday night in Longview, Texas.

The Wildcats took a 28-25 lead into halftime and were able to stretch that into a 15 point lead 9:58 mark of the second half as they went on a 19-7 run to start the second half to go up 47-32.

The Jackets would fight back to cut the lead down to three points with just over three minutes left when a layup by Kyle Schiming made it a one possession game at 51-48.

But the Cats would close out strong, not letting LeTourneau get within five points again the rest of the way out to secure the 68-63 conference win.

Lewis' 21 led a group of three Wildcats in double figures, as he was joined by Kevin Cottonham (13 points) and Anthony Gaines, Jr. (13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals).

Louisiana College (2-1, 2-0 in ASC) will take a break from conference action and take on Division I opponent UL-Monroe on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in Monroe, Louisiana.
