Box Score

Looking for a change of pace against Schreiner on Saturday afternoon, Louisiana College head coach Jason Tinsley got away from the usual “five in-five out” substitution pattern that Wildcat fans have become used to seeing over the past few seasons.

The result? A 47-point victory by way of an 88-41 final score.

LC, who shot right around 36% from the field coming into Saturday's contest, had one of their better shooting nights of the season, as they went 35-82 (42.7%), including 12-37 from beyond the arc.

The key difference was LC's ability to take care of the basketball (22 assists to only 10 turnovers versus only 4 assists and 29 turnovers for Schreiner) which gave them an amazing 36-1 advantage in points scored off of turnovers.

The Lady Wildcats were also dominant on the offensive glass, grabbing 22 offensive boards to Schreiner's 5, resulting in a 23-6 advantage in second chance points.

Six players reached double figures in scoring for LC, as Skylar Chenevert lead the way with 17 points on 7-18 shooting.

Danisha Allison (14 points, 8 rebounds), Kala Chenier (16 points, 5 rebounds), Kaci Willis (14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists), Karylon Thornton (10 points, 4 assists), and Natosha Gottlieb (13 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists) also hit double figures in scoring for the Lady Wildcats.

LC continues to hold onto their lead in the ASC East with a 7-0 record in conference play, 11-1 overall. They will have two days off before taking the court against Mississippi College on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the third and final matchup of their current three-game homestand..
