1/10/2013 9:37:00 PM

After a successful 3-game homestand, the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats hit the road on Thursday night, defeating American Southwest Conference rival LeTourneau University 98-47 in Longview, Texas.

Perhaps playing their best basketball of the season over the past week, LC continued their outstanding play against LETU, holding the Yellow Jackets to 29% shooting from the field, including 1-12 behind the 3-point line.

Ashley Stevens was the lone Yellow Jacket in double figures, scoring 11 points for the game.

Natosha Gottlieb led the way for the Lady Wildcats with 25 points and 9 rebounds and 4 steals, while Kala Chenier and Skylar Chenevert also hit double figures for LC with 12 points a piece. Chenier also tied for the team lead with 4 steals.

LeTourneau had 33 turnovers compared to just 7 assists, with the Lady Wildcats coming up with 21 team steals.

LC, now 13-1 on the season and 9-0 in ASC play, will travel to Shreveport on Monday January 14th for a non-conference matchup against former ASC foe Centenary at 5:30 p.m.

The Lady Wildcats will then return home on Thursday January 17th to put their 42 game regular season home winning streak on the line  in a highly anticipated ASC matchup against Texas-Dallas.
