PINEVILLE – The Louisiana College Women's Tennis team put a bow on its 2010 season with five games in three days last weekend.

Among those contests the Lady Wildcats were able to pick up their second win of the season, defeating Rust College 8-1 on Friday.

Senior Meggie Hixson had one of her best performances of the year, defeating Fetch Tsige 6-0 and 6-0 then pairing with fellow senior Jessica Ward to defeat Tsige and Andrea Coleman 8-3 in doubles action.

Four other Lady Wildcats were also victorious in singles action as Raquelle Flaggert defeated Tori Fox 6-1 and 6-0, Marie Champayne defeated Lasesha Hudson 6-3 and 6-4 and Lannie Walker and Shelby Berthelot won their respective matches via forfeit.

Ward fell 6-2 and 6-3 to Coleman in a singles match.

In doubles action, Champayne and Walker won a match via forfeit while Berthelot and Flaggert defeated Fox and Hudson 8-0.

The Lady Wildcats other four games ended in 9-0 losses to Texas-Dallas, Millsaps, Belhaven and Williams Carey.
