PINEVILLE - Louisiana College's women's tennis team had a steep hill to climb last weekend versus Texas-Tyler, the No. 30 team in the land and, despite a spirited effort by the Lady Cats, LC still fell 9-0 to the Patriots.

Meggie Hixson was LC's top individual performer, fallin 6-2 adn 6-0 to Michelle Hagler.

In other singles matches, Natalie Mazambie fell to Sydni Hermsdorf, Jessica Ward to Ashley Albro, Shelby Berthelot to Lauren Giovannini, Raquel Flaggert to Brittany Trich and Lannie Walker to Emily McRae, all by a count of 6-0 and 6-0.

In doubles action, Hixson and Mazambie fell to Hagler and Albro, Ward and Berthelot to McRae and Hermsdorf and Flaggert and Walker to Trich and Giovannini all by a count of 8-0.
